ヘマ・ウパディヤイ
Born 1972 in Vadodara, India. Lives in Mumbai. On her principal themes of nostalgia and personal identity stemming from migration and human dislocation, she explores this time to create an installation with slums in Mumbai as a motif, referring the suffocation engendered by the chaos and the tension in an urban setting, which are unwated results of the urban development in the city.
