- Makoto Nomura
- 野村誠
- Born in Nagoya in 1968. In addition to his compositions for piano and other instruments, Nomura seeks to pioneer new approaches and possibilities in contemporary music. He has composed collaborative pieces at retirement homes, played sessions with zoo animals using a keyboard harmonica, and held recitals in public bathhouses using hot water and buckets. For the Aichi Triennale, he will again perform an unconventional piece of music at a swimming pool using water sounds.
