Oriza Hirata + Ishiguro Laboratory (Osaka University) Oriza Hirata was born in Tokyo in 1962. He advocated "Contemporary Colloquial Theater" and created a new style for theatrical performances in the 90s. He is a playwright, director, a head of the theatrical company "Seinendan," a manager of Tokyo Komaba Agora Theater, a professor at Osaka University, etc. He is actively involved in various fields such as theater, education, language, art, and literature. For Aichi Triennale 2010, teaming up with Ishiguro Laboratory of Osaka University, Oriza Hirata writes and directs a new theater piece. Hiroshi Ishiguro is one of the world's leading researchers of intellectual robots. In 2007, Creators Synectics, a British global consultants firm, ranked him in the 26th (1st place among Japanese) of "the top 100 living geniuses'. Aichi Triennale 2010 will present their world premiere of the Robot-Human Theatre "In the Heart of a Forest."
