Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1984 and currently based in Tokyo. Ariyoshi uses animation techniques to bring his countless charcoal pencil drawings to life, producing works that resemble early 20th century Expressionist paintings. His works seek out the darkness and light found in the deepest recesses of our mind and the glimmer of hope that lies on the edge of despair.
