Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1979 lives and works in Aichi. Okada uses puppets, clay, faded watercolors and shadow pictures to depict fairy tale worlds that reflect the absurdity of contemporary life as seen in the lives of young people, and also produces animation works that satirize elements of modern society. Okada is a self-proclaimed "magician of images" who skillfully conjures a host of stories by using the dazzling array of techniques at his disposal.
