B.Mus/M.Mus from Musashino Academia Musicae, and also completed a program at The New School’s Mannes School of Music. Moriya has attracted attention for her exceptional performance as the Queen of the Night in the Metropolitan Opera’s The Magic Flute conducted by James Levine. Thereafter, in addition to this role, she performed in the title role in the opera Lucia di Lammermoor, as Liù in Turandot, and Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, in engagements at major opera houses in America and Europe including the Volksoper Vienna, the Scottish Opera and the Seattle Opera. She performed as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute and other roles as an exclusive-contract singer at the Linz State Theatre in the 2013/2014 season. In the 2015 performance of The Magic Flute by the Tokyo Nikikai, she appeared to great success in the same role. In the 2015/2016 season, in addition to her performance in the title role of La Traviata at the Linz State Theatre, she is scheduled to perform as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute at the Leipzig Opera and Theater Basel.
