B.Mus/D.M.A from Tokyo University of the Arts. Miyamoto made a stunning Nikikai debut in the title role of Don Giovanni (directed by Miyamoto Amon). He has performed in much-talked-about productions including Tokyo Nikikai’s Così fan tutte as Guglielmo, in Die Fledermaus as Dr. Falke, in Die Csárdásfürstin as Feri von Kerekes, in the New National Theatre Tokyo’s Rokumeikan (world premiere) as Kiyohara Einosuke, in Yashagaike (world premiere) as Gakuen, in Nissay Theatre’s Médée (Japan premiere) as Jason, in Lear (Japan premiere) as the Duke of Albany, and in Kanagawa Kenmin Hall’s Kinkakuji as Mizoguchi. His talents extend to Japanese translation of the librettos and subtitles for a number of works. His CD Musica Italiana Azzurra (Octavia Records) and book Let’s go to the opera with Miyamoto Masumitsu (Junposha) enjoy popularity. Member of Nikikai.
