Choreographer, director. Decouflé founded his own dance company DCA in 1983 and is known for his illusions in which, using clever imaging tricks, he plays with real and virtual images, for his acrobatic dances suspended in the air, his mysterious characters and his humorous, fun performances. He traverses various different genres in his work, from his appearance at the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies to Cirque du Soleil and the Crazy Horse Paris Show and has established an important position for himself in the world of performing arts.
At Aichi Triennale 2016, he will perform his latest work Contact, a dance spectacle incorporating new entertainment elements into the fantastic Decouflé world, plus live performances, original songs and theatre.
