*Candy Factory Projects is an international exhibition platform organized by artist Kogo Takuji. Over many years, Kogo has produced and exhibited a large body of work both solo and in collaboration with other artists including Miyagawa Keiichi (Japan), John Miller (New York/Berlin), Federico Baronello (Italy), Mike Bode (Sweden), Young-Hae Chang Heavy Industries (Seoul), Charles Lim (Singapore), and Sean Snyder (Berlin).
Since 2007, under the auspices of the nonprofit Art Institute of Kitakyushu, *Candy Factory Projects has been hosting the Kitakyushu Biennial, which had the theme of “IMIN: Migrants, Immigrants, Emigrants, Refugees, Exiles, Expatriates and Others” in 2009 and again for the third edition in 2011. Building on these achievements, since 2012 *Candy Factory Projects has been pursuing unique projects in diverse modes and multiple media as well as organizing group shows including overseas Kitakyushu Biennials in Singapore (The Private Museum) and Berlin (ZK/U Center for Art and Urbanistics).
