Ali CHERRI
Born 1976 in Beirut, Lebanon
Based in Paris, France
Filmmaker and visual artist Ali Cherri is currently collaborating with the French National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP) and the German Archaeological Institute (DAI) on research into how relics and ruins unearthed during archaeological excavations impact our assembly of historical narratives. He has presented his works at numerous museums and art centers around the world, including the Guggenheim Museum (New York, 2016) and venues in Beirut, Paris, Sharjah, Spain, Warsaw, and Gwangju.
