Kouheita Saito
斉と公平太
Born 1972 in Aichi. Graduated from Nagoya Zokei University of Art & Design in1995, and presently operates mainly in the Nagoya area. Held a solo exhibition at Art Tower Mito in 1997 (Criterium 26). Was selected for the VOCA 1998 exhibition, and for the "Akichi" exhibition (at Toyota Municipal Museum of Art) in 2000. In 2005, received a special prize at the 8th "Taro Okamoto Memorial Award for Contemporary Art" exhibition. Keeps pursuing his mission to reverse the category of "non-art" and make it part of the realm of art using kitschy materials. Changed his name from "Kouhei Saito" in 2009. This time, he opens "Love-chi Shop" in Choja-machi and sells goods and so on.
