Toyota Municipal Museum of Art
The museum opened in 1995 on a plateau in central Toyota City, right where Koromo Castle was once located. The building itself was designed by Yoshio Taniguchi, renowned for his museum architecture, and is surrounded by gardens created by American landscape designer Peter Walker. The museum's collection encompasses about 3,500 works of mainly modern and contemporary art from Japan and abroad.
