Art Playground TALK
Photo: Yasuko Okamura
Introduced for the first time at the Aichi Triennale 2019, Art Playgrounds are spaces that visitors can use to demonstrate their own creativity. They are installed at five exhibition venues, each dedicated to one of the five themes "Play," "Talk," "Create," "Interact" and "Outreach." These spaces function as platforms for visitors to respond naturally and in their own ways――through creation, self-expression, discussion or communication――to works shown at art festivals and exhibitions, and the inspiration they draw from such displays.
"Talk" provides a platform for exchanging thoughts about artworks, inspired by the idea of the "café philosophique." Visitors are encouraged to engage in lively discussions on certain topics, with the aim to enhance their understanding and multifaceted enjoyment of art.
