Born 1961 in Auxerre in the Yonne region of France; based in Paris.
In addition to his many humorous and ironic drawings, Rammette is known for dreaming up, drawing and putting into action unique ideas that might be described as absurd, devising contraptions to extend the human body, and staging and photographing astonishing performances featuring himself. These performances are counternatural and very physical, and they have a way of clashing with their natural and built surroundings, so people often think they are viewing some kind of computer graphics, but this is not so. Far beyond being amusing, they border on the heroic as Ramette demonstrates just how much it's possible for one man to do.
