Born 1974 in Hungary. Graduated the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest. His first feature film Hukkle (2002) earned him 20 awards including the European Film Awards, European Discovery of the Year and Best New Director - Special Mention at San Sebastián International Film Festival. It was also Hungary's official submission to the Academy Awards. His second feature film Taxedermia, the screenplay of which he wrote together with his wife Zsófia Ruttkay, won him a 2004 Sundance/NHK Filmmakers Award and was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. Final Cut: Ladies And Gentlemen is a "found footage" remix of clips from 450 well-known film dramas, Eastern and Western, old and new. Men and women meet, fall in love, quarrel, are separated; compete with, make love to, kill one another; meet again... Meticulous editing and masses of celluloid condensed into a spectacular piece of entertainment.
