HARE Masahiko(Goro)

Graduated from Osaka College of Music, and studied further in Berlin supported by Agency for Cultural Affairs. Made his European debut as Papageno in the "Magic Flute" at the Theater Chemnitz. Other appearances in Germany include as the witch in Hansel and Gretel at the same theater, as Goro in "Madame Butterfly" at Semperoper in Dresden, and in the Rheinsberg Music Festival. Has performed all over Japan, including at the New National Theatre, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, Kanagawa Kenmin Hall, Yokohama Minato Mirai Hall, Nissay Theatre, Hyogo Performing Arts Center, Biwako Hall, and the College Opera House, often working with renowned conductors like Myung-Whun Chung and Peter Schneider. In this theater he has appeared in the "Tales of Hoffman," Nagoya Nikikai's production of "The Marriage of Figaro," and Nissay Opera's "Madame Butterfly". Television appearances include "Ningen Mappu" (Human Map), "Daimei no nai Ongakukai" (Untitled Concert), and "Hanamaru Market." Received Osaka Prefecture's Newcomer Award for Dramatic Arts, Osaka City's Sakuya Konohana Prize, Osaka Cultural Festival Award, and Hyogo Prefecture's Arts Award. Associate professor at Osaka College of Music.
