We are pleased to announce that 17 more new artists will be participating in Aichi Triennale 2010, which is to start on August 21 (Saturday).
International Exhibition of Contemporary Arts
Currently 71 artists / groups are scheduled to take part in the international exhibition of contemporary arts, including the following 10 new artists:

Santiago Sierra (lives in Lucca/Madrid)
Chiharu Shiota (lives in Berlin)
Hirofumi Toyama (lives in Aichi)
Performing Arts at Gallery G on the 8th floor of Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art
Currently, 7 artists / groups are scheduled to perform at Gallery G, including the following 1 new artist:
Fuyuki Yamakawa (lives in Kanagawa)
Gallery G in Aichi Prefectural Museum of Art presents cutting-edge and experimental performances that straddle the border between plastic and physical expressions. In doing so, we seek to embody the composite of the Aichi Triennale, a distinctive feature of this event.
Film presentation program
Currently, 8 artists are scheduled to participate in the film presentation program, including the following 5 new artists:

Takashi Makino (lives in Tokyo)
Alexander N.Sokurov (lives in Sankutpetersburg)
Apichatpong Weerasethakulm (lives in Chiengmai/Bangkok)

Under the theme "Towards the 2nd Century of Film presentation," we play cutting-edge, short and long films from around the world at Small Hall in Aichi Arts Center.
Site-specific Performances
Currently, 3 artists / groups are scheduled to perform for the Site-specific Performances, including the following 1 new artist:
Makoto Nomura (lives in kyoto)
The participants perform at urban spaces such as Chouja-machi area and at the forum inside Aichi Arts Center.
We plan to finalize the all participating artists by early July, 2010.
